Power Packs

Advantages:

Highly reliable system, reducing risk of stopping the jobsite:

The start and stop-down of the equipment is better controlled, thus reducing the wear of parts such as: couplings, bearings, gears, eccentrics and hydraulic components.

Faster and easier commissioning:

  • No need to inter-connect the oil tanks of the power packs, with large hoses risking oil leakages

Saves floor space on the barge:

  • Allows a more convenient positioning of the equipment on the barge.
  • Power packs can be positioned one above the other, allowing a better use of the barge floor space.

Vibrodriver & Power Pack Synchronisation

PTC has developped the most advanced and reliable synchronisation system, capable of running each Power pack independently, while working precisely synchronized with Vibrodrivers.

This unique technology allows a perfect synchronisation at 3 different levels:

  • Mechanical synchronization of the Vibrodrivers.
  • Electronic synchronization of the power packs to supply the same oil flow and power to each Vibrodriver. This optimises the distribution of energy hence reduces energy consumption.
  • Hydraulic synchronization, key to precisely balance the oil flow of each power pack during the transition phases (start-up and shut-down).
